I have nothing to update, and yet I am in emo-mode, which means my brain is urging me to find something to write down. Oh muse, you are a cruel master.
Gmail is being odd, and won't allow me to log out of one of my three accounts without closing the browser window to do so. I'm not fond of this.
This weekend, Driftwood Theatre is bringing their production of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" to my local park. I'm excited beyond words to see this production. I interviewed the director and founder of the company by phone a couple of weeks ago, and it's going to be an amazing experience. I'm passing by the park on my way home too see if I can see them setting up. Haliburton has a few rare gems of events over the summer, and this is going to be one of them. I hope it pans out so that they return in future summers. I'm headed to tomorrow night's performance, preceded by a "Shakespearience" (which includes a backstage tour and discussions with company members :D). It's going to be amazing.
R.A stuff to-do list, so that I see it in front of me (and maybe get some all of it done.)
-finish bulletin boards for first semester (letters, information, pictures)
-finish door tag templates (3 more, maybe?)
-type up/complete welcome letter to leave in rooms
-create newsletters that will hang in bathrooms ("Moose Droppings", I'm the corniest girl in the universe)
-buy envelopes for Nice Notes
-make more words for PoeTree (buy more bristol board)
-cut-out letters for various lounge areas
-come up with gifts to leave in rooms (maybe my little yarn muses like I made for ORHA?)
-make portfolio cover page
-posters for floor soundtrack, Cranium night
-duty sign
That was mostly for me. I realize it'll make sense to barely anyone.
Dad, Alicia, and I are headed to Canada's Wonderland on Monday, where we shall spend the entire day riding rollercoasters and eating unhealthy foods, returning home in the wee hours of the morning with sunburns and sore feet. I love theme parks. :D
I went to the local carnival on Wednesday night, and won a stuffed toy moose in a game (the one where you squirt the water at the target and try to beat other people- I have mad skillz at this game). His name is going to be Mac, and he's going to be the floor 7 mascot. I shall make him a t-shirt with iron-on transfer letters on it, and everyone can sign him after they move in. I love random momentos. :D
Even though I have so much to do, I want the Windsor countdown to be shorter. All of the locals seem to think that I should be sad about leaving, but I am honestly not. It's time for a change of scenery, and a change of work. All I want to do when I get anywhere is leave again, I am so ungrateful. I wish I could stay somewhere and appreciate it. I suppose I did that with Montreal, but I was only there for three weeks. I need to work harder at appreciating what I have, instead of always wanting something different.
Right now, I want a fresh start. In so many ways...
