Sorry for the lack of updating in the month of November. It was too crazily busy - I swear. I am finally done with all my papers! Horray! Spent the whole day wandering about London...and finally got to see the Diane Arbus exhibition at the V&A. It made me a little sad - she's a photographer who photographed a lot of invisible and outcast members of society such as circus freak show performers, the disabled, transvestites, nudists, etc etc. It was a very strange exhibition I think because it was so moody and atmospheric. The whole exhibition was fairly dark with only the photos illuminated well. It kind of reminded me of a church or a cemetery or someplace holy and sad.
Also went to Herrods. Money was spent.
We had our last Club Sandwich for the term last night, (shedding a tear...till next term...). I love how all my friends here seem really awkward dancing to mainstream hip-hop. Hence the local scorn for sandwich...but I have a good time. And it's at our student union, so you really can't go wrong. 2 pound mixers and doubles? Also, can't go wrong. I was glad to get a chance to hang out with some people who are leaving soon for a while and also see some of the people I didn't see the whole month of November for certain reasons unknown.
I am so excited for doing full-time studio art next term! So excited! It will be good. I have a ton of ideas.
Oh, and I saw Vito Acconci last week. Sweet! Jill Sheridan of the infamous Jill-gallery-trips told me about his opening at Rove. And I had just seen his huge huge show at the Stedelijk in Amsterdam. Did I mention I went to Amsterdam?
Wow, a lot has happened to me that I didn't write in here. I'm sorry! I'll have to tell you all about it when I see you next time. Including my totally insignificant .........which somehow seem incredibly significant to me but really aren't so exciting.
Anyway, ummmmm
Yeah, I don't think I feel like writing any more right now!
