Queen of Your Prom

It was your night, a lady's prom / a place one could find this world we breathe / a day by day saga, we fail to find our place / erase the time that holds us back tonight / a hinderance playwrite that fights a fight neither of us can handle / the threads in her dress make her life / covered by the body that wraps around her heart / a knife in my throat, unravel my garment / Was the dance we danced really to a love song / or two wrongs we both called and answered too strong / Were we held captive in captivation / or created in recreation / the depravation of rest tonight has consecrated our paths alike / she took this pen and put it through my eye / the matter within my blinded socket writes these lines / with my head in my pocket, this letter is for you / enveloped, stamped, and addressed to your heart / don't mind the dagger / it was used on me already, useless to tag her / the dress you wore was your life / was it not / it was your life / nothing more than a conquered knife to the eyes of hundreds / this was your prom / the queen of your world / i drank the poison from your punchline / cry like you once knew / at least then you might would care / every song within, with this pen dancing while remembering that shallow grin / give me a morsel of ice for every decieved word and watch me ski down the blood i shed for you / i cant stay / im away / it was gray / what a beautiful day
