Taken from the long passage I submitted a few days ago:
I was just told recently that Jesus didn’t die for all of our sins. That he only died for a select few. Wow! Like the afore mentioned says, in that case, we should tell people there is a chance that its not his will for them to be saved, and that he might not have died for you. 2nd Corinthians 5:14-15 says “For the Love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead. And that he DIED FOR ALL, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” Isn’t that great news everyone? He died for all of our sins, no matter what you have done or how you have lived, Jesus bore that pain on the cross, and all you have to do is believe that God gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him, will not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus was fully God when he came to this earth and he emptied himself of those powers until he received the Holy Spirit.
I was told that the word “ALL” in 2nd Corinthians 14-15 was translated in Greek to mean “all of a chosen portion or the elect.” After researching this more in depth we find that that is not true at all. The good news is the Greek Translation for the word all in that passage is:
pas {pas} including all the forms of declension
(1) individually
(1.a) each, every, any, all, the whole, everyone, all things, everything
(2) collectively
(2.a) some of all types ++++ ... "the whole world has gone after him" Did all the world go after Christ? "then went all Judea, and were baptized of him in Jordan." Was all Judea, or all Jerusalem, baptized in Jordan? "Ye are of God, little child
Isn’t that great news? That is something to rejoice about. The Bible tells us in Joshua 24:15 to choose for your selves this day whom you will serve. It is not something that God is going to choose for you. You make the choice to give your life to God. The Holy Spirit convicts you to make that decision.
Revelation 22:17 says “And the spirit and the bride say, Come, And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
2nd Peter 3:9 tells us “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.”
Praise Jesus, he died for us all. This is amazing news, and this holiday should be celebrated because Easter weekend is a joyous occassion.
