lol I still haven't watched Rosencrantz and Guilderstern-!! ;_; I'm so behind, sob
And pahahahaha!! I miss Ayra too, I'll see what I can whip up. xD I really want people to get more emotionally-attached to these characters, but I don't want to bog the story down with them doing mundane stuff too much... but if it's plotline it's just them reacting to extreme situations-!!! So hard to find a balance ;_; Any suggestions? sob
I was just referencing them in the context of being minor characters in Hamlet. ^^;;; But hey- they have their own spinoff play that was written apart from the main plot (something you're pretty good at with some of your extended cast...!)
Hmm. I think the most important thing you can do is stay focused on the Big Picture theme, like how Ricardo taught us. That's assuming Iris will be a certain length of course.
My disgust with his political views aside, Orson Scott Card has a good mnemonic when it comes to writing Sci-Fi/Fantasy: M.I.C.E.
M - Milieu; the story is specifically about an era/territory and the going-ons within it (think "adventure for the sake of adventure") I - Idea; all the characters, settings, plotlines are in service to a single universal theme C - Character; the story is focused on the struggle and growth of a character E - Event; the characters' actions are in response to an inciting incident/outside force

Nice, your action stuff is so awesome! I see Seth's jacket as a navy blue lol. Maybe Iris can like break people's supression collars with godmode magic??
Seth's shirt is dark blue for me. Like, a grey-blue, but definitely blue.
You already sound like a pro animator to me with all that jargon! xD Animating on twos? 3s? 4s? I don't know what any of that means but it sounds cool! xD;; The thumbs look interesting for sure!
For prompts, you can ask people to suggest a character, a color, and an item? I did that a while back and got some cool ideas out of it! So like... Phelan, purple, and bucket.... and try to draw something based on that??? xD;;;
animating 'on ones' = 24 frames per second, which is traditional film-speed. but because animation is so much work, it can also be done on twos (ie, capturing two frames at a time) to cut costs, which comes out to twelve frames per second (much easier because you're cutting the number of still frames you need to produce by half). 12fps tends to look a bit jittery but still reads as motion; any framerate slower than 12fps will look less like fluid motion and more like a series of stills (commonly used in animatics).
what's your goal with the asher/phelan/ayra team? like within the context of the main story, are they significant characters or just extras? do you want their arc to be an emotional core of the story? if you want more emotional impact then it's important to establish the characters early on so readers have time to get invested, but you don't necessarily need a lengthy scene to do this, just gotta show a bit of personality and character motivation, something for readers to empathise with.
the shirt definitely looks grey-blue to me (checked both laptop and phone). maybe your monitor needs adjusting?

Seth's shirt looks bluish gray on my main monitor, and neutral gray on my older backup monitor.
fufufufu, so Asher and Phelan are the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of Iris? XD;
Oo, more Arya plz! I miss the snek lady.
