Working on socks
I've finally gotten out of the leg portion of the sock, these socks are quite tall and subsequently took longer than usual.
They have to be a bit tall, their whole purpose is to bridge the gap between the top of the boots and the bottom of the rolled up pant legs.
Here's a close up of the heel, which is always a bit fiddly to do.
While making the heel flap and heel you keep the stitches you've designated for the top of the foot on a holder, which is what the bent piece is there for.
The yarn I'm using is mostly wool with a bit of nylon in it for stretch. I'm also using bamboo needles, the combination of these two has made working on these a lot easier for me than say, cotton yarn on metal needles as there's a lot more friction.
I'm sorry my updates have not been very exciting, I have a few days off coming up and that should mean more progress!
