Day 2 by Bluemantle
I was really excited about my progress up until the time came to post it. Now I’m really anxious. I’m going to fix the line work and the parts where color spills out over the lines, but for now I’m just really proud of myself for figuring out that it’s best to color on the layer under the lines, to make it easier. (Seriously, my digital art experience is so little that I only just figured this out.) Also, I threw down a silly storybook background because I got tired of staring at a blank one.
For comparison, here’s the next best digital drawing I’ve ever done (the lines were traced from a coffee add or something). Below is Tristan, Kira’s brother. I’ll probably be drawing him, too, over the next two months.
