What's with people stealing Obama yard signs, bumper stickers, etc.? How low can you go?
I was sorely tempted, after my yard sign disappeared after only an hour, to steal a McCain/Palin sign in revenge. There aren't *many* in my neighborhood, but they are the *only* ones still standing. But then I remembered I have some integrity.
So I'm planning to paint my mailbox instead, or maybe nail a sign made from an old sheet to some trees in my yard.
I've heard of several other people's Obama gear being stolen. Anyone else have stories to share?
ETA: I hear that smearing something on the sign helps: rubbing it with poison ivy, spraying it with pepper spray/mace, or (less aggressively) putting vaseline on the edges. I might start with the vaseline. I'm not stooping to the doggy doo level though. Pepper spray, maybe.
ETAA: Apparently you mix a little paint in with the vaseline . . .
