the new process is great!

however, i'm a really timid//boring/inexperienced writer [which means i think i'm bad, and i'm really not comfortable hitting submit]. i haven't written anything [at all] since i graduated in the summer of '10. i am eager to participate, but i will be very slow. i don't think i could keep up with 1 a week because it takes me so long to contribute something worthwhile. [i've only just now started submitting thoughts about finis terrae, which are already two weeks late, and i work only 17 hours a week].

i love that it's happening because it gets me watching movies that previously weren't on my radar. i watched tangled yesterday and adored it. i never would have thought to follow up margaret, which i really liked, until you can count on me was mentioned, and i'm very glad i did. the only problem is, after seeing them, i don't feel like i have much to add to what's already been said.

i think it'd be nice to have more rigid structure though ... days that aren't claim get a randomized selection [unless, like satantango, it's on reserve] and a thread opens, even if it's just a youtube trailer or ubu link, the comments are there for anyone to add something, but there's alway momentum. there can be a weekly update, where people can say if they added something to an old thread, and we can find a place to host a master list of links to everything to make it easy or something. i just think without fire under people's toes [like the eliminations], it may meander and get lost, and i will miss out on more tangleds.

For what's it's worth, I think your thoughts on Finis Terrae are great (particularly in the two latter comments).

I do like the idea of the randomized selection just so it gets the group talking.
