extra extra
So I figured maybe I should do a quick update on the exciting things I've done since updating my livejournal stopped being one of them. I guess I'll just do the major highlights since I'm not really good with dating things.
Ok, a list:
*Got through freshman year at AU...First semester was pretty bad in terms of social stuff (well, second half of first semester) but I ended up with some very close friends whom I'm very grateful for and, most importantly, my grades weren't affected by anything I was going through. Second semester I got close to aforementioned friends and I definitely ended up with a fine first year of college. It was hard to be away from Lou. I'd say it was the most difficult thing I've ever done, the long-distance relationship. But we got through it and now Lou goes to Catholic (also in DC)!
That was a long item for a list.
This summer:
**Worked a lot and saved up a bunch of money I am now systematically pissing away.
**Went to Germany via Paris for 10 days for serious Anna-Mommy bonding time.
**Spent a ton of time with Lou. :-D
**Went whale-watching!!!!!! Which was the highlight of my life.
So far this school year:
***Two Nationals games (one Nationals-Braves then Nationals-METS) both of which we snuck up to really awesome seats right behind the visitors' dugouts.
***Saw Jimmy Carter speak = amazing
***I've been working harder than every at schoolwork this year partly out of necessity (my classes are intense) and partly because I really want to do as well as I possibly can. It's been paying off, too. My grades so far have been reallyyy good and I'm really proud of myself.
This weekend:
***Went to the zooooo with Lou!!!
***Saw Bob Dole speak (last night)
I left out a lot. Oh well. I did my best.
Jacob's really cool.
(He's "working" in my room right now and made me write that)
Um. Jacob and I have also become addicted to Su Do Ku this year.
Eventually I'm going to do a picture update maybe. Yes?
