(no subject)
If I don't update about Christmas, what will I update about??
Anyway. My Christmas was so-so. My family (minus me) had a big fight on Christmas Eve, but it got smoothed over just like always. It's sort of upsetting because none of my family is really happy. Every time it feels happy, it's just because everyone wants to be comfortable. And then I feel guilty for leaving because no one here is satisfied and no one here is really living the way they (that's the wrong pronoun, I know) want to. Oh well. Christmas was pretty good. I got all the books I wanted and the Magnetic Fields three CD set I wanted. And an electronic New York Times Crossword puzzle thingy. Those were the highlights. Oh and cash. Cash is nice. Oh my god I'm bored.
Anyway. Last night I slept over Lou's house and we exchanged presents. He gave me a children's Christmas book for us to read together because...I <3 children's Christmas books. Like The Polar Express and I was a fan before the movie thank you very much. I'm lame. Because that was an attempt at a joke. Wow. Oh yeah, like I was saying. Lou also got me a ring. It's white gold with diamonds and it's a "we're together" ring. We are not engaged. So once I got over the initial, what does this mean? reaction, I loved it. It's beautiful and I love it. And I love love love love him. Everything that happened last semester and everything we went through has only made me appreciate him more and more. mmmmmm
LET'S UPDATE!!!:
1. I'm doing Model UN with my roommate, Justine. We're going to nationals! Hahah I just think that sounds impressive. It's cool because a) We're Ukraine and hello! Orange Revolution! Yeah Yushchenko! and b) It's at the actual United Nations building in NYC!
2. The 15th was Lou and my first anniversary. :)
3. Maura Flynn talks to me again. This is so good.
4. I'm bored with this. I think that's as recent as it gets. :)
