After nearly a week running around New York and Montreal, I took a bus to Baltimore to meet up with Tomas and unemployia. We ate at my favorite vegan restaurant--- sorry New York--- and headed over to Red Emma's for the reading. It was a really nice reading and even the people who were simply in the coffeeshop part seemed engaged.

After a short walking tour of the Hamden neighborhood, we drank some coffee and headed to Pittsburgh. Our reading at the library that evening was pretty stellar. Jude, the librarian, had done a great job getting local parent-and-kid talent to share the show with us. We went first with three parent/kid acts following us, including an amazing puppet show (see photo above).

I had hoped to spend our day off showing Tomas around Pittsburgh but ended up spending the day running errands while Tomas tooled around town solo. I met our new visiting writer, and the three of us biked over to Morning Glory to see Morgan Cahn's art show.

Today we drove through the rain into Athens, Ohio. The reading tonight is supposed to also include music and vegan s'mores! Happy birthday Tomas!
