kitchen find
mezuzah found in kitchen, originally uploaded by artnoose.
I was preparing the door trim to the kitchen closet when I noticed a painted over object. I thought it was an old latch so I scraped the paint around it and popped it open with a screwdriver. Instead I found this little scroll with Hebrew writing on it. I had no idea what it was so I immediately IM'd the first Jew I could find (thanks Stefan!) and he sent me a link to the wiki article on the mezuzah. I put it back on and will just paint around it.
