Last night, despite having a cold, I ventured out to my first meeting at a dystopic science fiction reading group. It wasn't far at all but entailed primarily of getting up and over a huge hill, and yes it was uphill both ways in the snow. I'm not kidding. I felt like someone had kicked me in the chest by the time I got home.
Speaking of snow, I'm now pretty excited about this book Snow Crash that I started reading, on recommendation from the sci-fi group.
Today I worked for hours on the kitchen sink faucet, and the hot water side still leaks. I really can't figure it out. I mean, I'm now pretty well acquainted with the inner workings of cartridge faucets, but that doesn't stop the leak (although leaning on the faucet with all my weight does).
Tonight I drank a lot of tea and did two tattoos--- one deer (superimposed over Lake Superior) and going over a lightbulb for the second time.
That's it. That's all I got.
