Garden and flooring

Today we busted out on the garden and flooring projects. Marty has been visiting and helped with the back-breaking task of shoveling dirt into the raised bed as well as the ear-splitting job of grinding mortar off century-old marble tile.
The kitchen floor is about halfway done, which means we don't have a working sink. It made for a comical dinner, as I had to run up and down the stairs to use water from the bathroom sink downstairs.
In other news, our band practice went well the other day. I'm starting to sound like a real drummer, and we might play our first show in July.
