why i hate life (abridged)
so my mom has a new computer. and after 2 hours today, i finished installing her wireless router. satisfied that i was finished, i attempted to go on the internet using the new router. within 5 minutes, i had accidentally clicked on a pop up, causing a series of massive viruses to basically disable internet explorer and, in essence, taint her brand new dell dimension pc. i have spent over 3 hours trying to undo this with limited results. this included an hour on the phone with michael, a dell tech support guy whose broken english provided me with 2 solutions:
1. download ad aware or another spyware removal program and hope it works.
2. reinstall the entire OS (a process that takes 2-3 hours)
i have been up since 9:00 this morning and am about to have my first meal, which will probably be followed by more work, and eventually my first brain aneurysm. here's to that!
at least penance soiree is still amazing.
