Worldwide SPN: The Clash (Indonesia)

Sorry for the late post, it was hard to find the time between work and wedding preps >_< I have another rough sketch of Sam and Dean, but I ran out of time to finish it ^^;

Singo Barong is a villainous king of black magic from Reog Ponorogo traditional dance (a dance native to East Java). The guy is a feline humanoid, with a tiger head and a lion's mane. There's supposed to be a peacock on its head, but I just merged the lion mane with peacock feathers to save time ;p
There are several stereotypical versions of the story, but basically it's all about a king's quest for love. Sewandono is the king of the kingdom Bantarangin who wishes to wed Dewi Sanggalangit, a princess from the neighboring kingdom of Kediri. Singo Barong is simply the main villain that Sewandono has to face.
Another Indonesian element in this pic is Batik (as Singo Barong's clothes). The Indonesian Batik is a type of traditional clothing that predates written records, but is still very commonly worn, especially on formal events and on Fridays. More info.
The pattern I used here is Parang Rusak Barong, one that was once reserved only to be worn by the king. Though, nowadays we can buy it in cheap street shops :p
I made a quick Photoshop *.pat for this Batik pattern to save time, but it's a bit messy and not quite seamless ^^; It's available for download over here (completely free to use as usual).
I also made a brush to draw the feathers, but I forgot to save it T-T
