Even More On Languages
This news story baffles me, somewhat.
Amish in my area are being taken to court for failure to get building permits. Problem is, they only speak Pennsylvania Dutch, and apparently the translator for the Amish cannot translate some of the legalese into their language.

I find it amusing that some of the legal jargon cannot be translated. Pennsylvania Dutch being no more than a German dialect that is less than 300 years old. Not an obscure language at all. Language info here.
