...Not even just the weekend, but since Wednesday. Wednesday I had a doctors appointment and I was very disgusted. I told my doctor the symptoms I've been having (high BP @ home, spots in my eyes, terrible migranes that last forever, nausea, pain under my right boob, etc...) and she goes; "Well, everything looks great, so you have to live with it." Actually, they were much more inconsiderate than that, but I'm trying to be nice and not get myself upset right now. She told me to tell the receptionist that she wanted me to get repeat Pre-Eclampsia bloodwork done again. Okay, so I go out and tell the secratary that and she goes; "Well the doctor didn't put it on your file, so you can't get it done. Too bad!" What the hell!? Is that the way to treat a patient?! That clinic is shit. The receptionists definitely don't care about the young single mothers on Medicaid!! They seem to only care about the older ones. Whatever. I've witnessed many young mothers (younger than me!) in there and they get treated the same exact way. Bullshit.
Well, when I get home I called the head of the hospital and explained how unhappy I was and how disrespectful they were being. The head of the hospital said that they've gotten numerous complaings about this, but can't do anything about it. (WHAT?) So I'm just like...screw it. Whatever. I was about to change clinics right then and there!! (A lot of people told me that Overlook Hospital is good, so I was about to call them!!) A few minutes later I get a call back from the clinic saying to come in on Thursday and a new doctor woud re-check me. Ok...so I did.
Thursday I had to go to the hospital anyway for a urinalysis, so I didn't mind taking a trip to the clinic as well. I get there and I have this very nice and very sincere doctor!! She listened to everything I said and she actually gave me great advice! She said she didn't know why the other doctors were telling me that I had a good chance of having a C-Section, she told me that my symptoms were something that we had to look into immediatly, and she also explained to me that even though my blood work levels have been elevated, sometimes they won't even go past the limit they're supposed to and it turns into Toxemia without any notice what so ever. She sent me for more blood work, she told me I had to get a 24 hour urine collection thing and bring it back on Saturday, and she sent me to L&D for a fetal NST and an ultrasound to see how much fluid the baby still has. She told me to watch my symptoms, and if anything is suspicious, to come in IMMEDIATLY to the clinic or L&D. I also had the WORST leg cramp on Thursday morning. It wouldn't go away and kept getting worse!! I told the doctor and she wants me to watch that this week, and if I get any more I should go for a doppler on my calf on Thursday. She thinks it might be a small clot, but if I don't have anymore cramps, than it's nothing. So far I haven't had anymore. I am now to go to weekly appointments to be monitored closely, and I'm having this one doctor for the next 5 weeks of my pregnancy, or however long Alayna decides to stay in there for. lol I didn't get any vaginal exams yet :( So I don't know if I'm dialating at all!! Probably next week I'll start with the vaginal examps. I'll be 35 weeks then anyway. 36 is considered full term! I just wanna know if I'm dialated! lol
So I went for my tests and went to L&D and the people were SO nice there. There was actually a nurse there that looked so familiar to me! lol Turns out she does live in Bayonne and she did go to Holy Family!! She was a Senior when I was a Freshman!! Weird, right? lol Livingston is like 35/45 minutes away and I still see people there that I know. (I've met 3 girls from my old HS there and 4 more from Bayonne. lol) It is a good hospital, though!! Anyway, Alayna did so well on the fetal NST! So that's good...! She said my levels came back within normal range, but they are to be watched because they were slightly elevated. She also said that I STILL have a urinary tract infection. I just finished my dose of Macrobid for the last UTI I had a few days ago!! It just won't go away!! Someone told me that's common with GBS, but I don't know. I know UTI's can cause early labor, so I should be on the lookout!! I was also having contractions when I was in L&D. They weren't regular, though, but they told me to watch that. By the time I got home and by the time I was going to sleep the contractions lessened anyway. Damn...lol
I've been getting a lot of BH Cx lately and some really painful ones at that!! But they aren't real contractions. I just can't wait for this pregnancy to be over. I can hardly move anymore. Right now I can't even get up out of bed. Whenever I move my hips hurt so badly. I actually had to crawl to get to the fucking bathroom last night because whenever I stood up the pain was something beyond excrutiating. Either Alayna is laying on a nerve or my sciatic is getting much worse, I don't know. I just have a feeling that if I have to wait until 40 weeks to have Alayna, I might not be able to put pressure on my leg anymore!! I already can hardly walk on it. I'm definitely mentioning that to my doctor on Thursday...I refuse to go to L&D again unless I'm having contractions! lol Or another excrutiating headache. I just don't want to bother anyone. lol Plus, I have so much to do here!! Alayna's crib is here!! It's beautiful.
Well, I have to go take my BP because I'm seeing the spots again. :( I hope I can just relax today and not have to go anywhere. I would *like* to try to go for a walk, but I don't know. Someone said walking might loosen the muscle or whatever is bothering me. I'll try anything at this point!!
