(no subject)
I'm not finding what I want on the interweb, so I implore you, dear readers: click on the cut to view a painting by a dead Flemish guy, and then get your art snob hat on and tell me what the imagery means to you... or make something up about what you would think it would mean to some hoity toity... what do they call those people who make up shit about what art means, anyway?
I'll give you a starting point: do those animals at the bottom look dead? Or do you perhaps think they're just resting, or pining for the fnords fjords? I mean, really... do swans just lie down like that? And even if they did, do you think they'd *stay* there with a lobster snapping at it's wings? Also, why is that statue fondling itself? That's not a customary position for hands in a sculpture during that time period!
