Because I am a hopeless romantic who badly wants to believe happy endings do come true, my favorite couple continues to be the Captain and Maria from the Sound Of Music. They get their happy ending and it makes me all sorts of happy inside. But if I want to be honest, the actual love story in GWTW is definitely my favorite. These two are terribly fascinating and yes, this is a dramatic romance novel-turned-movie but really... it's about two people who have their flaws and those flaws come between them. And no matter how over-the-top the story may come across, the essence of flaws in one's character remain the same... and remain life like. Their story is dramatic, intriguing and compelling, and I'm a sucker for these kind of stuff.
