A quick cooking post

My parents left this morning for an extended vacation, and we "inherited" A LOT of produce from their fridge, including two partial heads of romaine lettuce, and 3 and a half lemons. So, this afternoon My Sweetie and I went to the good bakery and bought a multigrain baguette, and grabbed some good Parmesan cheese and anchovy paste, and we tried our hand at making scratch Caesar salad.

I now firmly believe that ALL croutons should be multigrain! The texture was LOVELY! The salad dressing ended up needing 2 1/2 of the 3 1/2 lemons we started with to get the balance right with the other ingredients. I used an adulterated version of the dressing that omitted the egg, and I ended up sort of combining two different recipes, incorporating the bits I liked of both. I would call this: GREAT CULINARY SUCCESS!!!
