Hurricane Dorian 2019

So in a matter of days a tropical storm that meteorologists shrugged off as something that would dissipate into the water had turned into a potential Cat 4 by the time is reaches us. So, Fl has been put into chaos. We are out of a lot of food, water is scarce in stores, and gas is hard to come by. Personally, I think we are okay though. Home Depot actually left a pallet of water out for employee's to buy. That is SO awesome. So, I think we are going there tomorrow to get some. I'm making a ton of Ziploc bags of water for the freezer and fridge, I got all the canned veggies I wanted. Soup is gone but we have ramen and I got some tomato soups.

My mom rented a place at the same hotel we always go to during these, Floridays in Orlando. It's really nice. Usually she gets the two bedroom but now she has the three. I love the master bedroom my mom stays in with the jacuzzi tub. She doesn't ever use it, but I do.

I'm worried the kitties are going to hate me. It's their first time since being babies that they are going to get smooshed into a car and into a strange place. I hope they don't hate me too much. My mind is racing. I made a list but it's not really helping. I think I'm just going to take some melatonin and force myself to sleep. Tomorrow is my birthday party with friends. We are going to dinner and then an Escape Room downtown. My brother and his gf passed on us bc they have to get the house boarded up. He sounded like he was so shocked I was still going to have it. Everyone I talked to is already ready for the storm, so they are okay with going. I'm lucky I got two people to take their place since I already paid for the room. One of them I don't really know, so I'm not sure if they are going to actually show or not. If they don't show then I guess I know not to invite them anywhere anymore.

Goodnight world.

PS. I returned the useless things from Amazon. I think more comes tomorrow. I may keep it. Apparently I drunk bought a really expensive Kindle. I am one that prefers real books, but having Mari with me at night I can't read, and this is a way I can read at night which is super intriguing to me. We will see.
