The Friday before the last, Luke took me out to Camden Hills State Park to see the bridge that he helped build this summer. We got a few photos, and many of them are stunningly beautiful. There are even a couple that I think would make worthwhile subjects for artwork, possibly an oil pastel piece. I think it's amazing that he helped work on this (in fact, he led work on it), and I'm really glad I got to go and see it. It was a very beautiful little bridge.
The trek up there was GORGEOUS; it was a wonderful day.
Luke being cute.
Notice the bend in the bridge; it's neat.

View of river from on the bridge.
Luke hewed the two large logs on the outside. I think this photo has an abstract feel to it bc of the angle and the subject; I like it.
We went out to lunch and spent a lot of time talking and driving. We said our goodbyes, since he heads out to Montana for graduate school soon. I'm going to miss him a lot; he's been an awful good friend, and he was really there for me during some hard times. He helped show me the good things in life again, and for that I'm truly thankful. I didn't get to see him very often this summer, but I certainly didn't forget him. I don't think Luke's the type of person one can forget. =) I just hope that everything works out well for him out there in Montana and that he can find some peace and happiness while he's there for graduate school.
