For Excel, Jak has this... weird sort of protection-drive going. Their first meeting, she was about as loony as loony could be. Then when they meet a second time she was sweet, sort of lost, and just plain nice. For the moment, Jak just attributes her being zany to the severe bloodloss she suffered or something, and that Excel is just a generally nice and laidback girl. Oh. The poor naive fool. Excel is a nice girl of the kind that Jak usually protects, she's jsut in the clutches of a bad apple...
Ill Pallazzo. God. It's like Baron Praxis's sense of fashion crossed with Count Veger's mentality, both whom were men who fucked Jak's shit up big time. He just stirs so many bad memories up to the surface that Jak disliked him almost from the start. Ill Pallazzo seems like he doesn't give a damn about his subordinates, likes to subjugate for subjugations sake, and is an all around prick. Jak doesn't like guys like that. Jak kills guys like that dead, or at least tries to. So, slimy scuzzball who makes girls wear really impractical uniforms and mistreats them does not go down well with Jak's general hero-ness. Grr. Scowly face.
