the classes
i do movie reviews, so why not class reviews?
American Lit - this one is actually seeming pretty awesome bc the teacher is amazing. She's an excellent public speaker and it's riveting to listen to her talk.
Black Film - the teacher didn't get good reviews on ratemyprofessor.com BUT this class looks way easy. a few short papers and no tests + lots of movies. and it's only once a week, so I'm cool with that.
German Film - thumbs down. the movie we watched so far was the stupidest movie i've ever seen. the characters and ridiculous motivations and it was in general cow manure personified. AND the teacher, though nice, has a voice that puts me to sleep. seriously. i want to record him then sell it to insomniacs (craig, you interested?)
Creative Nonfiction - yes, that could be seen as an oxymoron, but i don't care. the class is cool and the writing should be fun. the teacher seems very nice but SUPER strict.
Technical Writing - the books costs approximately my left arm so i haven't gotten it yet. but the teacher is nice though she speaks very quietly. in the first class we interviews each other like the first day of middle school or something. hopefully the rest of the class will be this easy.
Shakespeare - i haven't been to this one yet as it meets once every 2 weeks in cocoa and the first class is next week. BUT i checked on WebCT and we will be studying Titus Andronicus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, and Henry V. so this class should be good.
i have oral presentations in a few of them which i'm not looking forward to but all in all i'm happy with them. here's to a good semester!
