Well after a major hiatus on livejournal, a relocation of the journal/blog to myspace until I decided facebook was better and less clunky interface, I've decided to come back to LJ to see what's new and has changed since back in the dark ages as a beat user here.
So brief update for a hiatus that lasted, oh, five years or so...finished my master's in architecture back in 2006. Moved to San Francisco a month later without a job, found a job by that August. Worked there for about 8 months until it became apparent that I was about to be laid off. Found another job that I thought was going to be great...and...it was for about 6 months during which I designed and built my first project...and then that job turned into luke warm hell and sent me into a spiraling depression...during which time I met the love of my life (a huge plus)...that was about a year and a half ago now...the depression continued, Dimitrios moved in with me from Oakland...then in November I was laid off in a mass lay off at my firm...which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it has seriously made me reconsider a lot of my life...oh and in between all of that I have kind of become a slight celebrity drag queen here in SF and outlaying areas of California.
So, yeah that's the history brief of where I've been and now for where I'm going: still laid off living off of unemployment and cheese whiz, but have a great apartment that I've been in for 3 years now. Dimitrios and I broke up for about a month and then like the lesbians we are, got back together and he moved back in. Then this spring has been a whirlwind of performances and drunken nights, but I'm going back to school in June at City College for an associates in web design just to get my mind of the still faltering economy. The architecture thing will now be my back up career if America ever starts building again....where's the stimulus money Obama? you are still president, right? just checking. But I'm excited about that and in the meantime I'm just doing a lot of art, drag and not drag art. been writing and now that I have a new computer (just bought today)...I will probably be gearing up and finishing some of the writing projects that I have come up with over the past few months but lacked the focus to complete.
Nothing else is really new, other than everything.
So cheers to those who might still want to read about my little bit of a life. And hello again!
