For what it's worth, I'm probably actually leaving LJ for good, and deleting my journal this time.
I've created a journal over at Dreamwidth, with the same username. I think technically it's an underscore here and a dash over there, but I believe you can type either and get the same thing. I have not yet figured out how to add friends. Add me and/or I will try to add you if I know who you are.
LJ was a very important part of my life for a very long time. I have missed it terribly and clung for dear life in the last few years as it died a slow and agonizing death.
This new Russian Only TOS that makes you swear off your rights as an American and to live your entire life under Russian law is total BS, and while I grudgingly agreed to the TOS for the purposes of gaining enough access to export my journal, I am not willing to risk Russian prosecution or angering the Russian mafia in order to continue to cling to a dying journaling platform, even if I still do have one friend here.
