City Pulse no longer

So yeah, the guy who took over as editor at the Pulse in September doesn't like my writing as well as the previous editor, basically told me as much, and I got huffy and quit. I must say that I'm not too happy to no longer be an art critic, but I hope to get some new writing gig(s) soon. The Pulse is not
the idealistic publication that it was a couple years ago, anyway. I heard back from the arts editor at Venus Zine, and if I get a good pitch together, she'll consider it, so we'll see how that goes.

There is fun stuff going on too, though. I've got an old friend sleeping over tomorrow night, like an old school girlie sleepover, a yummy noodle shop just opened up on Grand River near MAC, I drank a gin and tonic out of a Mason jar last night, and a friend is coming for a visit in November.

And I just went to the library and checked out a ton of books. Rosalind Krauss and internet art and the fluxus effect and a High Performance Magazine anthology and a bunch of others on art since about 1990. Does anybody else out there love books as much as I do?? Yes, of course you do.
