N-next week...fabric store...25 hours. TWENTY. FIVE. HOURS. I-I didn't even know they could DO that.
...I mean, I'm not complaining, but GEEZ.
Also, no progress on Sabrina, but I AM making good progress on the Abra plushie/backpack. Maybe once I finish that I'll have the motivation to finish the rest of the costume. >>
So classes start back for the college kids tomorrow. And for the first time in twenty years, I WON'T BE GOING TO SCHOOL. (Yep, my mom started me early in the Head Start program at the tender age of three). Zip's going to be like "aaaaagh I have two write twenty papers and finish fifteen homework assignments and I hate this class the teacher is a bitch blahblahblahblahblah" to which I can either reply with "Sucks to be you", "You have my pity *pats on head*" or "Yeah well...work sucks?".
Or remind her of how many days are left before (insert name here)Con, just to watch her squirm. >3
SPEAKING OF SQUIRMING. 29 DAYS UNTIL AWA. WTF WHERE DID THE TIME GO. Let's look at all the crap I have to get done in the next 29 days while also juggling work!!
+finish Sabrina (make the entire top, boot covers, leggings, order the wig, buy gloves)
+finish Mia (finish wig, make shirt, make cloak, make skirt, make boot covers, make staff)
+finish Spartoi!Tsubaki (finish skirt, make shirt, find shoes, find socks, make scarf)
+make plushies (finish Abra, make Staryu, Raichu, Earth Djinn, Water Djinn)
+fix/finish Kintaros (put in lining, finish/touch up stripes, fix some seams, cry over how INACCURATE it is)
+ghetto rig secret ball dress (probably at last minute, while debating whether or not I actually want to go to the ball again)
+bunch of other stuff I'm probably forgetting
Sabrina *hopefully* won't take me very long to finish. IF I can get that fabric to cooperate. I should be able to order the wig later this month with my paycheck on the 27th. Alternatively I could order it tomorrow and hold off on paying my phone bill until the 27th but...
Spartoi!Tsubaki shouldn't take me long to finish, either. Neither should fixing Kintaros. Mia is going to take FOREVER and cost me A FORTUNE and I should really have started on her LAST MONTH.
The plushies will be a test of how fast I can produce quality plushies. I'm already halfway done with abra, so it's looking good.
The secret ball costume...yeah. It's still really iffy.
And as for any costumes I might pick up at last minute: I'm only allowing myself to have two possible ones.
One is Ling, which will be a last minute extravaganza. The other is if by some chance next month's chapter of Soul Eater has a new costume for Eruka. << >>
