How much more obvious?
A few more right wing news sources, discuss "Fast and Furious", but even they don't state the obvious.
First, border guards were using bean bag guns, as a penalty, for having shot stone throwers, Because our rulers care more about the Mexicans who attack us, than our lives.
But it gets much worse than that, at a time when our rulers were trying to use the smuggling of American weapons into Mexico, as an excuse to restrict arms sales in America, the ATF was actually being tasked, with supplying Mexican Drug Cartels, with Military Grade Assault Rifles and Grenades. Yes, they complained about gun shows, while deliberately arming Drug Cartels.
But it gets worse than that, worse even than a Border Guard being killed buy an ATF armed Cartel Smuggler. Worse even than our rulers trying to seal any records related to the investigations of this.
There are not many news sources speaking of it, but I put the link here once before. While Attorney General Eric Holder denied any knowledge of this program, well beforehand we have Official Transcripts, on his own AG Government Website, bragging in Mexico about his running of this program. He bragged about it and then said he did not know under Official Testimony and no major News, not even the handful of Right Wing News sources that have no reason to hold any esteem for Holder, will even bring this detail up.
Fast and Furious Failed more miserably than could possibly be accomplished by accident. It seems far more likely, all things concerned, that they were arming the cartels, just so they could use it as an excuse to clamp down in America.
There is a very obvious reason that these sorts of tracking programs don't work in Mexico, it is the same reason that Cartel Bosses can die every week without putting a dent in crime rates. The Mexican Cartels are Genuinely, Honestly and Entirely, Not Organized.
There is no clear enduring hierarchical discipline. Discipline is not demonstrated by their ability to send a pack of hyenas to brutally kill someone, discipline is demonstrated, as is the case with First World Military and Law Enforcement, when someone can say "Don't touch this person" and nobody, NOBODY, harms that person. Discipline is demonstrated when you can order someone not to kill and they genuinely obey.
Animalistic Brutality is not Discipline and if there is no hierarchy, then there is no trail to track and there is no head to lop off. The Cartels are a Primitive, Incestuous Mess, best slaughtered like animals and a little honesty about that, would be refreshing.
