A few days ago I installed Steam and purchased Portal and Team Fortress 2. I realized after the fact that for the same price I could have purchased The Orange Box in its entirety, but those are the only two games I was interested in anyway, so it's fine. I'm only up to I think stage 16 in Portal so far, waiting for my time off work next week to play more of it, and the same goes for Team Fortress 2. I played for a few hours on Wednesday night and had a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing some more when I next have time off work. I still suck at it and need more practice. I am totally unskilled when it comes to FPS games because I never play them. If any of you out there play TF2, you can send me a friend invite on Steam, maybe we can end up in the same game sometime. My steam ID is 'artiep', or my email is 'mrartemis@comcast.net' if that doesn't work.
The next couple weeks coming up for me are actually going to be pretty nice. Once I finish work tonight and tomorrow night, I have four days in a row free, mon-thurs. Then I work again the three nights of the weekend, and following that I have a whole six days in a row off work. It ended up this way because the other night guy wanted some specific days off and since we're the only two that can cover at night, we agreed to switch around the schedule as such. Works out for me because I'd definitely like the time off, I won't need to use vacation time for it, and the loss of hours isn't going to be an issue for me currently. So, yay.
That actually puts me available the whole week leading up to MFF and two of the three days of the actual con, but I have no plans to head out there I'm afraid. I just don't like such long distance travel! Especially not when I haven't planned ahead for it.
The other day I went to Burger King (As I do quite often) but instead of my usual whopper meal, I got a double whopper. And I was surprised how much better it was because you can actually taste the meat instead of it being covered up by the toppings so much! I think from now on I'll be getting the double whopper meal. I always get the same thing. :B Love BK.
Daylight savings time means I work 13 hours tonight instead of 12, whee!
