Well, well, well... I had a short recording session with Kirk today, or yesterday, depending on the way you look at it considering it is almost 4 something Sunday morning or very late Saturday night. But, anyways... after a short recording session, Kirk and I backed up the session files and I have them here at home. I have been mixing the songs we have recorded so far practically all day. Production will be one of the last things, after mixing and obviously before mastering. As for my next recording session, that will be next Saturday. We hope to make it a full day and to get a lot of recording done. We have about 6 songs semi-complete in the recording aspect. Semi-complete meaning that they still need vocals and our new drummer to add his drums to the mix. Our wishes are to keep the drum tracks of our old drummer for the song entitled "My Tunnel" considering he wrote the lyrics... I co-wrote and arranged the lyrics to fit the song when I wrote the music for it... not that anyone cares...
Anyways... about the CD, well, we originally planned on having 10 tracks on it, then about 14, well, now it is pushed to about 16. We just don't stop writing songs!! I've had a lot to write about lately. Also, our newer songs demonstrate A19's other musical styles. We like to listen to a lot of different types of music, especially me, so that will be noticable on our CD by its diverse set list. We really don't want to just play one kind of music. Whatever we want to do, we will do it! It doesn't matter if society claims that a band playing hard rock songs can't also play soft rock ballads or even a few punk songs. Or why not a couple jazzy tunes? Whatever we want to play, we will play! Whatever we want to say, we will say! Whatever we want to do, we will do! So, when it comes down to Article Nineteen, always expect the unexpected....
