This article surprised me. Richard Wiseman, professional magician and doctor of psychology, did a
survey of magicians to see whether they, as a group, believed in paranormal phenomena. His results were very interesting. Particularly this bit:

That's interesting, because I once read (I don't remember where) that for a woman who has difficulty experiencing orgasms, faking it may act as a trigger. Perhaps because it reduces inhibitions or something - I don't know. It was a while ago.
I just thought it was an interesting parallel. That's all.
