An Obvious Dystopia in our path...
An Epic wrong .. or Where the Future REALLY turns dark:
So id been thinking about the sort of investing that Americans do.. and realized that someone who puts money into a small startup techcompany is probably wasting money because the COMPANY never gets bought these days... it never gets contracts.. it goes under and then larger companies pirate the corpse of talent... so why not just invest in the PEOPLE rather than the companies?
and then the darkness struck...
So the right wing things Public ANYTHING including education or even education loans are evil.. everything everything everything should be private.
Education.. its not just an investment.. its an INDENTURE.
right now a generation of American professionals are under indenture for massive loans for degrees of decreasing value (especailly tech degrees)
But imagine when the public funding for education and education loans stops..the large companies will still need trained talent.. so they might choose to INVEST as they would see it.. in promising talent.. a speculative venture on young minds that may make them some money in the future.
sounds nice doesnt it?.. sounds like libertarian paradise really
but think about it.. being an INVESTMENT also makes them a COMMODITY.. indentured in one sense , but also, very likely TRADABLE and we had a word for that once
SLAVE.
live it, breath it, know it in your bones.. Absolute freedom for the powerful means absolute slavery for every one else.
we either have to put a leash on these bastards-simple, reasonable regulations... on how much money can influence the political process.. or we may as well start getting fitted for our own collars and chains.
