2013 for me has been an emotional rollercoaster - There were moments of fear and pain, moments when I wished I could give up, moments when I wished I did better but of course, the ones that matter are those that made me feel loved and happy.
My enlistment into the army wasn't something I hated. In fact I was really hyped up for it. Having met all the great people in Mohawk, I've forged really awesome memories that won't be erased. BMT was a period that I'm glad it's all over, but to look back, I missed it; the bond between the section, all the lame jokes and moments we did haha stuff are times I will miss greatly.
Then after, entering OCS was a pleasant experience for me. One that I'll never forget either. p3s1 Tango, the section will be the section i will never forget. The awesomeness craziness stuff we did during centipede haha like how I manage to lose 5 of my men during platoon battle course. The crazy route marches and punishments by LTA siva and CPT hafid leave me with calluses and painful but surely, unforgettable memories. Centipede was surely the best experience in OCS, but nothing would be as great as it was without the section. Never would I experience walking, navigating from dawn to dusk in Mandai again - It was beautiful. The world somehow spins so quickly and workload distracts us all from the necessities of life. I'm glad Army gave me the opportunity to appreciate mother nature - its silence, its wonders, its views. Surely I wouldn't have much stories like my awesome section mates who are soon to pass out in january but surely i've enjoyed those I had.
I'm also really thankful having getting a spot in YLLSOM!! If not for it, I'd never have met all the people I now have as friends and closer friends. I can't wait to graduate but it'll be a long way there. And of course, i wouldn't have been to Cambodia for the awesome experience I had at project battambang. It was surely an experience worth a post itself so I wouldn't dwell into it.
I'm really really thankful for those who were with me throughout the year especially the pb family, my family and my friends. 2014 will be a hectic year, but i'm looking forward to moments like post pros, recee trip, and the pb 2014 trip :) My resolutions are many but basically, I really hope to do well this year and to keep the good things in me and rid the bad things from me.
