I decided to copy
lucre_noin and do
babydracky's fic meme. Some of these were tough, but others worked...disturbingly well. Promise I didn't cheat, but I might be latently psychic.
1. Write down the names of 10 characters.
2. Write a fic of fifteen words or less for every prompt, using the characters determined by the numbers. Do NOT read the prompts before you do step 1.
(As a sidenote, I'm doing it the easy way and using the versions of the characters from my novel's canon. /cackle)
1. Morgause
2. Agravaine
3. Gareth
4. Mordred
5. Guinevere
6. Sagramor
7. Arthur
8. Gawaine
9. Lancelot
10. Galahad
1. First time, 4 and 6 (Mordred & Sagramor)
(Fuck yes!)
To the backbeat of destruction, they created, through touches and whispers, something entirely new.
2. Angst, 7 (Arthur)
It'd hurt Arthur more to condemn them than it had to discover them.
3. AU, 1 and 8 (Morgause & Gawaine)
"Come home," the voicemail said, "Visit your mother." Gawaine didn't call back.
4. Threesome, 3, 6 and 9 (Gareth, Sagramor, & Lancelot)
(A tough one. Thank you, Sagramor, you bastard.)
It was awkward at first, but Sagramor and his hero made everything worth it.
5. Hurt/Comfort, 5 and 10 (Guinevere & Galahad)
Guinevere wept, she was so sorry about Elaine. Galahad let her apologize.
6. Crack, 1 (Morgause)
(Pfft, I can't even...)
Morgause didn't think it proper for queens to be chasing chickens.
7. Horror, 10 (Galahad)
So many dead, gone home to God. But that didn't make it any less terrifying.
8. Baby fic, 5 and 9 (Guinevere & Lancelot)
(Eerily perfect, this one.)
Sometimes, they dared hope that it was not Guinevere who could not conceive.
9. Dark, 2 and 8 (Agravaine & Gawaine)
All their lives, Gawaine shone bright, and Agravaine was left in the dark.
10. Romance, 4 and 7 (Mordred & Arthur)
(Words cannot describe my lolgasm.)
Arthur didn't yet know that this beautiful boy was his child. Mordred just didn't care.
11. Death fic, 2 and 3 (Agravaine & Gareth)
(Another eerily perfect one. I'm PSYCHIC.)
They'd never quite gotten on, but at the last, they were brothers true.
