So it takes the buffoonery of the convicted-and-on-parole actor Sanjay Dutt and his eccentric side-kick speaking Mumbai's own version of 'gangsta' English viz., tapori Hindi, to remind a nation of the Mahatma and his methods.

Orwell on Gandhi On another note, I don't know whether to laugh or cry when people here often praise Gandhi but constantly mispronounce his name as Gandi. Actually I do know; I feel like bursting into hysterical laughter, and have a hard time restraining myself.

Mispronounce as 'Gandi' and spell as 'Ghandi'. They do know there's an 'h' in there somewhere.
