Who: Deidara and Sasori
Where: Deidara's apartment
When: Sunday night
Warnings: Angst

Deidara was up at his apartment again. The only times that he has actually been going out was when he had to go to work, either at the club or at the store. The other times were at his apartment just doing nothing but sleeping. There were the times he would get up to go to the bathroom or take a shower, and on occation to read the newspaper, but for the most part he has been sleeping. The blonde has been like this for quite some time, since it became clear that Orihime has been captured by someone.

Now was one of the rare times that he wasn't sleeping. Instead he was sitting on the window sill in the bedroom, looking at the huge tree that took up the whole view. In the fall and winter seasons he could see the playground that was next to the apartments but since it was summer all he could see was green. All that he wore was a loose pair of sweat pants that he normally slept in. His body start to show the earily signs that he had not been eating much for the past week. Being naturally skinny to begin with, him loosing a few pounds was enough to get him to start looking sickly.

The weather was miserable tonight, rain falling as the sky darkened. Sasori hadn't heard much from Deidara the past couple of days and presumed the blonde to be wasting away in the silence of his apartment upstairs. He hadn't gone out that day for any of his usual errands, so instead he pocketed some money and left his own apartment, a small idea running through his head.

When he reached the blonde's apartment upstairs he knocked once as was usual to announce his arrival, then tried the doorknob and pushed into the apartment.

Deidara heard the knock and the opening of his door when Sasori came in. He glanced at the curtain that led to the living room but soon turned back to the window. Let Sasori do what he wants, the blonde didn't care anymore. He hadn't felt this bad since he was in foster care and he couldn't remember if it was this bad or not. Of course back then, there was never a risk of him loosing something so precious before.

It was quiet, not something he was all that used to in the blonde's apartment. But the door had been open, so he assumed Deidara was in. If not in the living room, then... His eyes trailed over towards the curtain as he slipped off his shoes and placed them against the wall. Most likely the blonde was sleeping or brooding, the latter of which he was doing far too much of. Approaching the curtain and pulling it back slightly, Sasori peeked into the room and glanced at Deidara. He knew the idiot liked fleeting art, but if he was planning on jumping out the window-- "...Hey."

"Hey..." Deidara said without even truning to look at Sasori. His eyes were still turned to the tree outside his window. Even if he did plan on jumping out the window it wouldn't do anything. He'll probably get tangled up in the tree's branches instead since it was so close. There were times when he would open the window and some the of limbs would blow right into his room. Nah, if he were the jump it wouldn't be through this window.

It wasn't enjoyable to see Deidara in a slump. In fact it made Sasori irritated. He was used to the bubbly, bustling nature of Deidara, not this quiet, somber and defeated personality that was overcoming the other. He let the curtain close behind him, and then stepped a little further into the room. He wasn't sure what to say... now that he thought about it. He normally didn't have to speak first, but with the heavy silence between them and Deidara so unwilling... "Have you eaten?"

Deidara still didn't look at Sasori. His eyes seemed to be focused on something that was beyond the tree that was filling up his window. "No, yeah..." The short answers sounded odd coming from the blonde, even to himself. He would usually give long elabroate answers to Sasori which usually resulted with recieving a smack to the back of the head from the red head, but not this time. He just wasn't in the mood. Last night he was able to forget things for a little while thanks to Itachi's antics but that had come and gone.

"Neither have I," said Sasori with a deep set frown. He didn't need to ask if Deidara had eaten; the other looked worn and tired, clear signs of malnutrition. "Feel like a pizza or something else?" Not his favorite, but it was something they could share, and he'd read somewhere that pizza, ice cream, soda and other sorts of junk foods were supposed to be... comforting? Well, this was all he could offer to Deidara for now by way of that 'comfort'. A stuffed belly.

"I'm not hungry yeah." Deidara didn't want food. The one thing that he did want wasn't there and the chances of her coming back safely weren't looking to bright for him.

"Your body says otherwise," Sasori responded tightly, arms folding over his chest. He kept thinking to himself, This depression has got to stop...

"It's not good to force yourself to eat either yeah... I'm still not hungry yeah." It wasn't like Deidara liked being this way. He would rather pretend to the whole world that he was happy, like he did so many times in the past. But this time, he can't seem to find his mask. He must have lost it when he didn't have to pretend anymore.

"And starving yourself is any better?" Sasori muttered under his breath, eyes fixated on Deidara's back. "I'll order anyways." And then he'd force feed the idiot something if he had to just so long as he had a little on his stomach instead of nothing.

"Do what you want yeah..." Deidara replied as he leaned his head against the glass of the window. After a while the blonde got up from the window sill and took the few short steps to the bed. He didn't even bother to make the bed anymore since all he had been doing was sleeping in it. Pulling back the covers, he went to go lay down in it again.

"...I will." Turning about face sharply, Sasori threw aside the curtain and trudged out of the bedroom. He found the phone quickly along with the phonebook and ordered a medium pizza with the usual toppings, plus two sodas before hanging up.

Deidara crawled under the covers of bed and closed his eyes. Not really sleeping though since he didn't have any dreams. Instead it was more like he was laying there with his eyes closed. He was aware of the movement in the apartment and what Sasori would be doing, but Deidara wasn't going to get out of the bed to join the red head. He would have to be forced out of bed.

Upon hanging up the phone, Sasori promptly started back towards the bedroom. Pushing open the curtain and peeking in, he seen the blonde curled up under the covers and looking half dead. He was not impressed... This wasn't like the idiot at all. Even if he could understand Deidara's reasons, he didn't approve. "Get up," Sasori said as he moved over and gave a tug on the covers.

Deidara held on to the covers and pulled them part way over his head. "I don't wanna yeah. I'm tired. Just let me sleep yeah..." He didn't want to get out of the bed at the moment. It felt like he had no energy to do anything other then just lay there.

Sasori gave Deidara a rather fixed stare, then jerked the covers more harshly. "Sleep as long as you like after you eat...!"

The jerk caused Deidara to go flying off the bed and to land on the hard floor with a loud thud. Cringing a bit he opened his eyes and looked up at Sasori, still laying on the floor with one leg still on the bed. It was the first time since the redhead had come into the apartment that Deidara looked at him and showed him his eyes. The usual bright emerald green appeared dull in color and the spark that they had was gone. "That hurt yeah. And I thought I said that I wasn't hungry yeah."

"Whether you're hungry or not," Sasori said in a voice thick with annoyance, "you're going to eat something or else you'll make yourself sick. I'll force feed you if I have to, got it?" He looked down at the blonde laying in a heap on the floor, then dropped the blanket he was holding on Deidara's head.

"Isn't force feeding me going to make me sick as well yeah?" Deidara's voice was a muffled by the blanket that now covered his face. Pulling the blanket off his face he wrapped it around himself and curled up on the floor. If Sasori wasn't going to let him sleep on the bed then the floor would have to do.

"..." Sasori glared down at Deidara then nudged him with his foot. "It might, but that's why you're going to eat without me forcing you." Even though he technically was already forcing the blonde to eat... or trying.

"Have you gone deaf?" Deidara's voice came out from under the blanket. The foot nudging him just made him to curl up more. "I told you I'm not hungry yeah! Forcing myself to is going to make me sick as well yeah."

"I'm not deaf!" Sasori said sharply. He was just stubborn and firmly decided upon the fact that Deidara was going to eat something, needed to. He grabbed hold of the blanket and then started to drag Deidara out of the room.

"Fine, if it will get you to leave me alone yeah." Deidara said sounding a bit annoyed. He uncurled and untangled himself from the blanket before Sasori coulc completely drag him out of the room. Getting up, he brushed past Sasori and went into the living room where he plopped down on the couch.

The room wasn't mess looking but everything looked like it hadn't been touched in about a week. That was no suprise since Deidara hadn't spent much time in there for the past few days.

Looking at the blanket still in hand, Sasori rolled his eyes and walked over to Deidara on the couch before dumping it on him. The pizza would take at least another twenty minutes before arriving, and he was now trying to think of a way to kill the time between.

Deidara took the blanket and wrapped it around himself and layed down on the couch. But he didn't close his eyes since that was most likely that will cause Sasori to bug him again. Instead he just stared off into space, not really focusing on anything in the room.

He leaned himself up against the side of the sofa arm rest, arms folded over his chest as he watched Deidara, but didn't really watch him at all. He was lost in thought, barely seeing the blonde for the moment. It seemed as though Deidara was getting worse and worse each day, and though Sasori didn't feel much by way of emotions, he certainly did find the situation irritating. He found it a safe assumption to conclude all Deidara's thoughts were going to Orihime these days, and not enough was going towards Akatsuki much less himself. After some time, he said in annoyance, "How long does it take a stupid pizza to get here...?"

"It depends on where you ordered it yeah." Deidara said, not turning to look at Sasori but continued to stare off. "It takes awhile yeah. If you want you can watch tv. I don't really care yeah."

"I'd rather talk," said Sasori, blinking and really looking at Deidara now.

"I don't feel like talking yeah." Deidara pulled the blanket over his head a bit. He wondered why Sasori even bothered at this point. The redhead never once showed that he really cared for him. Maybe he just wanted to run the blonde's life in some sick twisted way. Either way, for once Deidara didn't wish to be in his company.

"..." Deidara didn't feel like talking, and Sasori certainly didn't feel like being rejected in this way. He nearly growled, arms unfolding as he dug out his wallet and threw some money down on the coffee table. "Suit yourself then. There's the money to pay for the damn pizza. Pay for it, and eat it... I'm out of here." He started for the door, tugging on his shoes while glaring at the wall.

"Then keep the money because I'm not going to eat the pizza yeah." Deidara's voice came out form under the blanket.

Whirling around, one shoe on, the other in hand, Sasori glared at the lumpy figure under the blanket on the couch. "You're going to eat that pizza, you idiot!"

"If you're not here then you can't make me yeah." Sure Deidara knew that he was being a little imature at the moment but he really didn't care. "I can always send it back when the delivery guy comes yeah."

Sasori was half tempted to chuck his shoe at Deidara, but instead jerked it onto his foot to avoid from doing so. Then he just pulled open the door and stormed out, shouting on the way, "If you starve yourself, it's not going to be my fault you dolt! I'll be the first to say I told you so!"

Deidara didn't say anything in reply and just continued to lay there on the couch. When the delivery guy came he will just give him the money for the pizza and the tip but tell him to send it back with an apology for all the trouble.
