Orihime wasn't doing much that afternoon. She had already cleaned out and rearranged her apartment for the summer. There was nothing to study now that school was out, so she was getting rather bored and thinking about calling Deidara or Rukia to see if they wanted to do anything. Her computer was on and slowly downloading some music, but other than that....she was bored.
Deidara pulled up in front of the Orihime's apartment and grinned. He didn't call ahead because he wanted to surprise her. They haven't been spending much time together because he has been working a the store during the day and pretty soon he will be working nights at Club Tenebre as a bartender. But he wanted to spend as much time with her as he can. He moved around his vespa and opened the compartment on the side where he pulled out a blue gift bag, his main reason for coming over. Still grinning he went up the stairs and knocked on the door, keeping the bag behind his back.
Orihime perked up from where she was sitting. She went to the door and opened it. A smile crossed her face. "You're still knocking?" she questioned before leaning over and kissed him.
"I wanted to surprise you this time yeah." Deidara wrapped his free arm around her waist and kissed her lips, still keeping the bag behind his back. "I have something for you yeah."
"Oh?" she blinked some. "Really?" She backed up from him so he could come inside.
He went inside the apartment and pulled the bag out from behind his back. "Well it's not really for you but I think you will get the idea yeah." The grin came back to his face.
Orihime was started to get excited. "Oh! Show me already, Dei!"
Deidara laughed and held out the bag to her. "Why don't you open it yeah?"
Orihime took the bag from him and went to sit on the couch. She then dug into the bag to see what contents were in it for her.
Deidara joined her on the couch, smiling as she tore out the tissue paper. Inside the bag was a soft, blue baby blanket and with it a whimsical looking stuffed owl.
"Oh...Dei..." Her eyes started to water some when she saw them and she held the blanket to her face before turning to him and smiling. "Wow, thank you." She move to give him a large, 'Hime hug.
Deidara smiled and put his arms around her, holding her close. "I thought it would be a good idea to start getting some baby supplies yeah. I just got paid this week so I thought I would get something same to start us out yeah. I thought the owl was a nice touch yeah."
"I love the owl," Orihime said and sat back after a moment. "This is so awesome, Diedara. Oh, Urahara-san should be getting some supplies in for us soon too, neh. I told him to give either one of us a call when he gets them in."
Deidara continued to smile as his hand found it's way to her belly. "That's good yeah. We'll need all the help we can get since neither of us have parents to fall back on yeah." He lightly rubbed her stomach before leaning down and kissing her there.
"We're just lucky we have so many friends willing to help us out," she mused, happily and ran her fingers through his hair.
"Who needs real family when you have friends willing to stand there for you yeah." Deidara smiled and rubbed her belly again. "You're starting to show a little yeah."
"I know. I can't fit in anything that buttons right now," she pouted some. "I need to go to the mall and get some maternity clothes."
"Well I'll be working at Club Tenebre pretty soon so that will bring us some extra money yeah. I got the job by the way yeah." Deidara sat back up and smiled at her. "I figure with tips and such we'll be in good shape once our little one is ready to make his big entrance yeah."
"And the welfare office gave me a raise too because I filed that I was pregnant," she replied. "That'll help defientaly with food."
"Every bit helps yeah." Deidara leaned over and kissed her on the lips. "I love you yeah..."
"I love you too, Dei," she replied and moved to snuggles up against him. "We're going to be so happy."
"I hope so yeah." Deidara squeezed her a little to his side just being content that he can hold her close for now.
"I've been starting to look at apartments too," she said.
Deidara nodded. "My lease comes up at the end of the summer so we can move in together around then yeah."
"Same with mine," she replied. "I've already put a few of my things in the paper to sale too sense we don't need things like two large beds." It felt a little hard to part with her bed though, it was one of the last things her brother given her after all, but saling the bed meant buying a baby bed.
"We can also look into putting some things in storage yeah." Deidara suggested. "Who knows when we might need them yeah. Just don't go saling the big stuff until we move into an apartment together yeah."
She nodded. "Alright, I suppose that's a better idea. I didn't think of that. Can we afford to have some storage?"
"I can look into some prices yeah. I don't have much that I own, so most likely we will be using most of your stuff yeah."
She gave a nod. "Alright then. That'll work. Wow, I can't believe all of this his happening...."
Deidara nodded. "It does seem a bit unreal yeah."
"It is crazy. . . " She stopped and thought for a moment. A saddened look on her face. "I wish my Nii-san was here. . . He would've really liked you."
"He probably would try to kill me if he found out that I got you pregnant yeah." Deidara smiled a little tryign to cheer her up.
She chuckled. "Maybe, but Nii-san was always so calm and collective though. I can't ever remember him getting angry or yelling..."
"That's because nothing like this has happened to his baby sister yeah." Deidara smiled and kissed her. "He sounded like a great guy yeah."
"He really was. Still, he would help us out as much as he could. I bet he would love being an uncle..."
"After he got over the shock and beating me over the head with a baseball bat yeah." Deidara smiled and held her close.
She chuckled again. "Nii-san didn't own a baseball bat."
"A frying pan then yeah."
"Maybe that."
Deidara smiled and kissed the top of her head.
"But after your full recovary, it would've been alright."
"I think it would have been too yeah." Deidara sighed and leaned back on the couch.
She snuggled some more against him and closed her eyes. He was so warm and comforting. And, she felt so safe like this, like nothing in the world could go wrong.
Deidara shifted around a bit and made himself comfortable and closed his eyes. Just being with her like this just made everything in the world perfect for him.
"How's your driver's liscends coming?"
"I still need Itachi to give me a few lessons yeah."
She nodded. "How is he doing by the way?"
"I haven't talked with him in awhile yeah. The last time I saw him was when I told him about the baby yeah."
"He took it alright?"
Deidara nodded. "Yeah. In fact he said he would support me in my decision yeah. That was something I didn't expect yeah."
"That's good. At least he took it better than Sasori."
"I think Sasori is the only taking it bad yeah."
She gave a sigh. "I don't think he'll ever support us."
"Unless we beat him sensless yeah. He just doesn't understand what it's like to be in a relationship with someone you love yeah."
"I don't think I want to beat someone up."
"Let's not worry about Sasori-danna yeah." He lightly kissed the top of her head again. "Why don't you get some rest yeah."
"But I'm not tiiiiired," she wined. Okay, she was a little tired.
Deidara chuckled softly. "It's better for the baby yeah. Besides, I'll stay with you the whole time yeah."
"Well, I would hope so. I would be upset if you decided to just up and leave."
Deidara smiled. "You want to stay here on the couch or move to the bed yeah?"
"Let's go to bed," she said. "More room to stretched out and stuff. And, let's actually sleep."
Deidara nodded a little. "Sounds good to me yeah." Smiling again he moves around so that she is gathered in his arms and pics her up to carry her to the bedroom.
"I'm going to get too heavy soon for you to do this."
"Then I'll just carry you whenever I can until then yeah." He kissed her before laying her on the bed.
"Alright then. I can live with that."
He pulled back the covers and crawled into bed with her. "Now come on yeah. Lets get some rest yeah." Smiling he pulled the covers over her before wrapping his arms around her.
She nodded and closed her eyes so that she could sleep.

Orihime perked up from where she was sitting. She went to the door and opened it. A smile crossed her face. "You're still knocking?" she questioned before leaning over and kissed him.

"Oh?" she blinked some. "Really?" She backed up from him so he could come inside.

Deidara smiled and put his arms around her, holding her close. "I thought it would be a good idea to start getting some baby supplies yeah. I just got paid this week so I thought I would get something same to start us out yeah. I thought the owl was a nice touch yeah."

"I don't think I want to beat someone up."
"Let's not worry about Sasori-danna yeah." He lightly kissed the top of her head again. "Why don't you get some rest yeah."
"But I'm not tiiiiired," she wined. Okay, she was a little tired.
Deidara chuckled softly. "It's better for the baby yeah. Besides, I'll stay with you the whole time yeah."
"Well, I would hope so. I would be upset if you decided to just up and leave."
Deidara smiled. "You want to stay here on the couch or move to the bed yeah?"
"Let's go to bed," she said. "More room to stretched out and stuff. And, let's actually sleep."
Deidara nodded a little. "Sounds good to me yeah." Smiling again he moves around so that she is gathered in his arms and pics her up to carry her to the bedroom.
"I'm going to get too heavy soon for you to do this."
"Then I'll just carry you whenever I can until then yeah." He kissed her before laying her on the bed.
"Alright then. I can live with that."
He pulled back the covers and crawled into bed with her. "Now come on yeah. Lets get some rest yeah." Smiling he pulled the covers over her before wrapping his arms around her.
She nodded and closed her eyes so that she could sleep.
