Moooovies.

Saw several movies in the past 2 weeks.

First off: The Last King of Scotland. FRIGHTENING. I had a nightmare that Edi Amin wanted to capture me and do unspeakable things. A good film overall, though it's his performance that makes it. Forest for the win!

Second: Pan's Labrynth. Far more depressing than I could ever imagine. It was beautiful but wow, sad. And dear god it was violent. Especially for a film rated 14A. At box office I keep having to detur parents who wanna bring their small children (8 year olds) to it, thinking it's like Lord of the Rings. Noooooooooo. I say. Violence that has me flinching and cringing uncontrollably should not be viewed by a small child.

Third: Smokin' Aces. YAY SENSELESS VIOLENCE! Now this stuff I can handle (mostly due to prior mental preparation...) It's a good film if you go in expecting to be fed something terrible. Because while it is bad, it's not that bad. It's actually pretty funny too. My favs were the Tremor Brothers. Coolest bounty hunters ever. YAY KAMIKAZE STYLE!

And thus ends my brief recap as I countdown to drunken twister matches occuring later in the eve.
