Some how had an eventful weekend despite the mounds of homework and that thing that gives me money...
Friday I stood around on doorpost from 12-6 while I tore my hair out because we were understaffed and thus could only get the theatres clean within 5 minutes of the next show time. Go Cineplex yea! Got picked up at 6:55 because my sisters grad pictures took forever. Got home at 7:05. Literally tore off my clothes and did my hair and make up in record time, as me and Steve had a double date with Dann and his new Lay-Dee. We were going to see Stranger than Fiction...which started at 7:30. Picked up Steve and made it back to the theatres by 7:25. Go me. Lucky I got our tickets early.
I loved the movie, it really surprised me. I thank Will Farrell for being controlled and not irritating the shit out of me like he's done in everything since Anchorman. He did very well. And so did Emma Thompson. An excellent film overall. Not a comedy, though there were some funny parts. (ex: Professor: "What's your favourite word?" Will Farrell: "Integer.") Just an excellent story with some great visuals.
After the show me and Steve went to eat at Wendy's. Then headed back to his place where we watched Slither. Mmmm, so gross and horribly funny.
Saturday I worked yet again...and by worked I mean made shaker flavour packets with Karl and Kevin in the pop room whilst discussing various movies. Was happy to be paid $12 bucks an hour. Go time and a half! After work headed to Dann's where me him and Steve watched hockey and played Ultimate Alliance. WTF Canucks. Think you can maybe pull it together? You know, so you don't lose that tastey two point lead like a bunch of pussies?
Sunday. More work in the day. Had Steve over later that night and watch Clerks, which was pretty good I suppose. Had a really chunky milkshake and showed him Spaced.
Monday I wrote my English essay all day. Managed to get all my research done on the weekend so I wasn't completely pulling information out of my ass. The only time I stepped out of the house was to go for a half an hour run in the morning...either that or I fought Hydroman...I dunno I get confused like that. Needless to say, when I got home I was literally soaked straight through. Gotta love that lower mainland weather. Ooo and guess what children!!! Vancouver is set to get hit by yet another rainstorm. YAY! Hopefully it'll hit after I get home from seeing Flushed Away tonight. I'm shite at driving in the rain.
