Legend of Korra series finale ***Spoiler Free***
I just finished watching the series finale of "The Legend of Korra" and I think the term gobsmacked is appropriate. "Avatar: The Last Airbender" was a very different show from most cartoons airing in the US. When I heard about "The Legend of Korra" and saw that it was jumping into the future to tell a new story with a new cast, I was apprehensive as to whether it would hit the same magical mark. Although "The Legend of Korra" had a few so-so episodes; I'd still have to rate the overall series as excellent. And the series finale did what a perfect series finale is supposed to do. It showed the growth of characters over the course of the series and resolved loose ends while leaving the door open for more stories in the future. Props to creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. I'd love it if there were more stories through a mini-series, movie, or comic book; but if the Avatar universe had to end with the series finale of The Legend of Korra, I'd be content.
