The Generally Expected Dollhouse Premiere Post
So I'm going to rant now. And if you haven't seen the new episode yet, I cannot be held responsible for your further actions. XD
WHISKEY AND TOPHER, GUYS. WHISKEY AND TOPHER.
Topher is so freaking cute. I love how he's afraid of rats, and how sweet he is when talking about how he created Dr. Saunders, and the phrase "sociopath in a sweatervest," and how awkward he got when Whiskey was molesting him in his sleep, and - and - eeeeee! But the best part was Whiskey, because she is SO INSANE, and SO INTERESTING. I love that actress now. You can literally see the girl cracking, on River-esque levels, which we never got to see with Echo's mental issues. Because seriously, Echo is so weirdly accepting of the whole thing - "So yeah, I can feel all these people inside my brain, and I want to find the real one. My life is interesting, huh?" But Whiskey is breaking down because of the knowledge that she's not real, which is exactly how a real freaking human being would act. Especially her "I don't want to die" line. OH MY GOD. Finally, somebody's seeing it as it really is. Topher has created this real, three dimensional human being, not the nice slutty girls with the extra ninja skillz thrown in that Echo gets. And she knows the truth of her existence. And she's terrified.
Long story short, Whiskey is one of my new favorite characters of all time, which is strange because she's a girl, so once again, I bow to Joss Whedon's altar of genius. THIS SEASON IS GOING TO BE SO COOL.
