Have a Gay Ol' Christmas

This is an odd realization - for my entire life, I have always pictured the songs "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" and "Let it Snow" as being about two girls.

It started like this - in Winter Wonderland, I innocently considered the "we" to be two girls.  It was a stereotypical sort of best friends mental image that I got from the line "later on, we'll conspire/ as we dream by the fire."  That in itself isn't really gay at all (although you could take the "Parson Brown" bit with a new socio-political twist if you wanted).  But then add in the fact that I always used to mix up Winter Wonderland with Let it Snow.  Consequently, the couple I always pictured for Let it Snow was the same two girls.  And in this case, the lyrics get pretty romantic.  This song has been subconsciously lesbian for me my entire life, and I'm only now realizing what I was thinking all that time.

On a related note, since I saw Glee's Christmas episode last night, "Baby It's Cold Outside" is officially the gayest Christmas song I know.

Have a gay ol' Christmas, everybody.

gaygaygay, random, christmas
