Thanks maigie for the generous and excessively kind compliments. I get giddy whenever anyone tells me they love the universes I spin, and I do try to keep each story or series different even if there are some similarities. (ie, Alien!Clark bits, common sentiments, anger issues, etc.)
I really should be cursing you! You tempted me to write a sequel or two, and this was meant to be a one off. Grrr...you are evil! *wink*
I have to admit, you made me want to see a pregnant Clark in this universe, as well as a few more of Lex's "dastardly" plans. Or maybe even see if from Mercy's or Hope's perspective. I'll have to see. I have so many pots on the fire when it comes to fanfics that if it happens, it'll have to go on the backburner.
Thank you for the ringing praise, though. I'll be coping this and keeping it on my harddrive to be read over and over when I need a pick me up or a boost of confidence in my writing abilities. (When I have writer's block, this method can help sometimes.)
As for the hunting games...one of my favs from the DBZ universe (Dragonball Z if you don't watch anime), and I thought the idea works so well with aliens in general, thus it fit into the CLex universe. Either that, or I just have a wacky mind!
