I'm back... *ducks head*
Sorry for the loooong period of silence. RL was a bit nutty, and I haven't been on lj since June. So, I'm pretty much clueless as to what's going on around here and how all my lj friends are doing. It'll be nice, if overwhelming, to look back in your journals!
As my subject line indicates, it was snowing this morning. Yikes! I was amused to see on CBS Sunday Morning (or whatever that show is called), they showed a very picturesque snippet of Walden's Pond (on the East Coast...I'm embarrassed to admit, I can't remember the state...) with the leaves in full fall color. Heh. And it was snowing flurries here!
I apologize for any concern I might have caused over the silence after my posting on my car crash. My life pretty much went FUBAR after this, and every time it seemed to get better, something else happened. To summarize this past summer and fall:
Major arguments with my Dad, it was particularly ugly in September. Started with the car and how he wasn't going to accept any money from me for the repairs caused by the accident I caused...and went to, well, mostly other arguments centering around money. As of now, I'm planning on moving out as soon as I can get a little nest egg saved in case my car goes kaputt. I'm shooting for March/April. Now, I only need to decide if I'm moving down to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, for those non-US folks) or out of the state.
Work was nuts. Or rather, the people at work are nuts. One woman, D, ended up admitting herself into the psych unit of a local hospital after she was thinking of killing herself. A man, H, went loopy over a change in his anti-depressant medication and with D's absence. JD, the arch-nemesis of D, is questionably up to power-plays, mysterious snitching/whining/who-knows-what conversations with the boss. While me and JL are pretty much caught in the middle, trying to keep our heads down, yet be there for support for D and H. We've had blow ups, fights, and days of cold silence to endure...as well as good days. It's like a constant roller coaster.
My dad's car is repaired. Mine went into the shop for a couple of times. All I can say...don't buy a Ford Taurus. Ever. I've replaced a good portion of the car's parts, some even twice!
Writing...has been zilch. I was getting pretty down about Smallville. Clark's just such an asshat, and my poor woobie Lex is getting closer and closer to be canon rift fodder...but I'm trying to get back into my CLex groove. I'm going to try to write over the next week, getting back into the Awakening Series and the Fourth of July series. I've just decided to close my eyes and pretend the last couple of seasons never happened. Lalalalalalalalala...
For anyone still reading this entry, and you've sent me an e-mail recently...I'm just starting to read my e-mails now.
ETA: Heh. In celebration of diving back into the online world, I gave my lj a new look. In case anyone's wondering, "Doesn't Artemis's lj look different?"
