I echo evil_little_dog wholeheartedly. This was done so well, and was such a kick to the stomach. But there is hope there, which I love. You gave me hope that Winry was going to be okay. Not happy, but she's not pining away either. *weepy smile*

YAY! That was exactly what I was going for - there is just so much bad fanfic around that features Winry just... withering away, and I just can't see that; I think that was the point of her last scene in the film. (...GOD she got so screwed in that movie. Why did I write fic for it? Now I'm just irritated.)

Ahhh...I knew there was a reason I search multiple previous entries of all my fma comms. Haha. This was amazing! It seems just like what Winry would have done in the movie! It makes me so sad...but so hopeful. ^__^ Yay.

Thank you - that is so exactly what I was going for, so I'm glad you liked it. Winry's so mistreated by fandom - sure Ed and Al leave her, but I'm pretty sure she didn't run off and kill herself. Poor girl.

I really can't imagine it any ther way. And, yes, I agree that she's much too strong to waste away (which would contradict that scene in the movie anyways.)

Maybe I'm just too protective of Winry? I don't know. It seems like way too many authors do that to her. Poor girl.
