Two tiny points about Percy Jackson I've been meaning to make:
1. As adorable as it was to see Percy thinking about a future with Annabeth in Camp Jupiter (akfjsjkfhadkjfha with a kid my heart RR what are you DOING), I admit I was kind of bummed to see Percy bonding with a place that wasn't New York. I mean, forget Camp Half-Blood. One of the things I loved a lot about Percy Jackson the character - and something that's always been a firm part of my characterization of him - is how much he freakin loves New York City. Teeny, tiny detail, but it just kind of made me miss NYC a little bit.
2. Okay, maybe I'm taking this one a little personally. Can Rick Riordan stop making a point of saying how lame The Rat Pack are? Maybe it's because my Sicilian grandmother raised me on Dino and Frank, but I cringed a little when I read Sea of Monsters, but then the recall in Son of Neptune put a bad taste in my mouth all over again.
Seriously. Listen to Sway. If it doesn't make you want to dance with somebody, then there is something wrong in your brain.
