Oh, Percy. You always know how to give him the right mix of humor and earnestness, and Annabeth's (logical!) reluctance was perfect too.

For someone as afflicted with ADHD, Percy exhibits remarkable focus when he wants something as simple as a kiss. They're soooo much to write - I'm always happy when you approve of the characterization.

Not to be, you know, months and months late, but I'd just like to point out that hyperfocus is in fact a characteristic of ADHD - as someone afflicted, I would know. It's very normal for us to become so concentrated on a certain goal or suchlike that we will go to crazy lengths to achieve it, and any ill effects invited in by achieving it are totally forgotten.

For example: I once became incredibly hyperfocused and played Solitaire for 30 hours (yes, thirty) instead of writing a research paper due in three days - all because I wanted a certain score.

I think this aspect of Percy and his ADHD was written very well by Riordan in the books, and I just feel the need to explain, a bit, why that is.

There are too many compliments I could give, and not enough space. Also, it's kind of hard to think of something to write when your epic fluffy scenes melt my brain. This is exactly what I wanted and more. You are genius.

Ahhhhhhh *blush* I'm so late getting back to this comment (my dumb brain saw that there were an even number of comments on the entry and thought that I'd responded already) but I'm so thrilled you like it :D When Percy puts his mind to something he usually gets it?
